Abstract: SensorMetrix will develop large-scale metamaterial-based composite structures for integrated topside platforms. The conformal materials, operating in the RF/microwave frequency range, will enhance signal transmission capabilities in the integrated topside's electromagnetic environment. Analytic, design, characterization, and manufacturing tools will be developed to aid in the effort.
Benefits: The proposed technology will have many uses in the control of electromagnetic propagation, particularly in crowded DoD and commercial electromagnetic environments where structural interference may occur. Various beam manipulation and lensing applications may also benefit from the proposed technology.
