Abstract: |
A small, efficient, light weight propulsion system consisting of a single cylinder, two cycle heavy fuel engine and a waterjet propulsor will be designed to meet the requirements for the 66 inch, 24 inch beam man-portable small Unmanned Surface Vehicle. |
Benefits: |
The efficient propulsion system will allow USV operation for scouting ahead of the patrol or insertion craft, enabling mission lengths in excess of six hours, with dash speed capability above 25 kts |
