Abstract: A scheme to implement logic gates based on nonlinear dynamic systems is proposed. This approach allows for the realization of a powerful yet flexible computing architecture. For the Phase I effort, AshRem Technologies in conjunction with California State University, Los Angeles, will analyze and the implement in hardware a flexible logic gate architecture that can be developed further to yield a reconfigurable computing system based on neural network computing.
Benefits: A flexible computing architecture that allows for dynamic reprogramming, optimization and resource allocation forms a new paradigm in computing. A wide variety of architectures, from very simple to highly complex, can be implemented to benefit a wide variety of applications, including embedded processing, robotics, digital signal processing and so on.
