Abstract: In modern day military communications, there is a rising concern with our systems incuring degraded performance due to RF Interference (RFI). RFI can come from both friendly or adversarial sources such as radars and jammers. TSC is partnered with Harris Government Communication Systems to pair Harris' novel LPI/D waveforms and L-Band Software Defined Modem (SDM) designs with our multi-band (Ku and V/W) datalink concept to form a complete solution.
Benefits: The presented concept can be applied to many other military and commercial applications where there is a need for robust secure wireless communications. An example of this is the satcom industry which continually looking for more robust links and has existing infrastructure to support the Ku-band concept. V/W-band is a growing market due to the available bandwidth and minimal restrictions. The wireless cell backhaul is a market that is beginning to take advantage of the benefits of operating at V/W-bands.
