Abstract: Aret's proposed innovation delivers a "Hardware-In-the-Loop" (HiL) test-bed and Software Sensor Simulator for the Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) program at the end of the Phase 2 SBIR. The proposed platform ultimately relates existing and future COBRA sensors to COBRA system performance (Pd/Pfa) using a common test-bed while reducing the need for expensive flight tests. The platform supports current and future COBRA sensors. Additionally, the validated Sensor Models will be compatible with Scene Generation Models under development by the COBRA Program.
Benefits: Anticipated Benefits include a reduction in test flights required for sensor validation saving millions of dollars . Commercial applications include spinoffs of the technology for both DoD Programs of Record and Commercial Activities such as photography, agriculture, and medical imaging.
