Abstract: In this SBIR, we offer a multi-level security data-mining capability. Our solution, Information Consumption Exploitation & Dissemination (ICED), develops innovative solutions for data management, data mining, user interfaces and report generation. Our ICED approach provides: Quick integration and harmonization of disparate data sources; data mining capabilities across data sources that leverage a common ontology; and customizable fusion and analytics that provide the foundation for development of alerting, entity resolution, and situational assessment tools.
Benefits: The benefits of this SBIR technology will be reduced workload and improved performance for the sonar team. Data management will reduce workload by providing a common electronic repository for data that was previously stored heterogeneously in publications, web sites and three ringed binders. Data mining algorithms will improve performance by providing operators with analytics and trends for the threat and environment. This application has potential commercialization applications the intelligence community for forensics and prediction of terror attacks and in the commercial retail sector for analytic targeted advertising.
