| Abstract: |
This proposal addresses the invention and application of a novel method of implementing a tunable RF notch filter. This filter is employed toward mitigating EMI from own-ship AN/WSC-6(V)5 SATCOM transmission that is coupled into the direction finding portion of the ship's AN/SLQ-32A(V) EW system. A program is proposed that will develop the notch filter system design, breadboard critical circuitry, and analyze projected performance. |

The design resulting from this proposed SBIR project will greatly improve DF accuracy of the AN/SLQ-32A(V) when its own-ship WSC-6 is transmitting in its recently expanded band of operation. The techniques developed here will also have application to other EW and SIGINT receivers operating on other platforms and in other frequency bands that are subjected to strong cosite interference received in the same band. |
