| Abstract: |
Determine the technical feasability of combining both the RF and IR missile warning capability into a single sensor, using the same form and fit of the current RF sensors without changing the Group A. The SBIR includes an examination of the data flow lines to determine aceptance of both RF and IR data. |
| Benefits: |
Mutli spectral sensing in a comon aperture provides an opportunity to achieve a unique high confidence detection capability using correlation techniques for a wide range of commercial applications. RF radiation detection in concert with IR sensing offers a unique protection capability at reduced cost for equipment and installation. RF provides long range detection and localization for cueing of EO sensor. Potential areas of interest include the electronics industry and commercial compaines requiring protection of helicopter and private airplane but which are unable to afford the Directed Infrared Countermeasures Systems under development. |
