| Abstract: |
A machine vision system will be developed for real time tracking of the position of a hand held probe from a generic portable NDT instrument. This process will be performed under software control in such a manner as to allow it to allow an independent parameter to be associated with each location. |

A device of this type will permit more cost effective method for performing ultrasonic and eddy current nondestructive testing. It could be applied to most structural materails such as metals, Composites and plastics. This kind of device would be applicable to all types of aircraft and motor vehicles. |
