Abstract: |
Tai-Yang Research Company of Knoxville, TN proposes to design, fabricate, and test a novel cryogenic quick disconnect with a high temperature superconducting electrical connection. This novel quick disconnect is rugged, lightweight, and based upon proven cryogenic vacuum technology. |

If successful this novel cryogenic quick disconnect could be applied to electric utility cables based upon high temperature superconductors being developed by the Dept. of Energy and other cables manufactures. |
