| Abstract: |
The project team will leverage innovations currently under development to provide a multi-purpose Riverine Stolkraft outfitted with a Distributed Control System (DCS) to meet the future Riverine Force requirements. The Riverine Stolkraft will be capable of performing all of the Riverine Command and Control Craft (RCCC), Riverine Assault Support Craft (RASC) and Riverine Troop Carrier Craft (RTCC) roles. |
| Benefits: |
The multi-purpose Riverine Stolkraft will provide one common platform that can be interchangeably used for the RCCC, RASC and RTCC roles, thereby providing procurement and logistics economies of scale, as well as backup/alternatives in the event that one craft is significantly damaged or destroyed on a mission. Likewise, the DCS will enable integrated plug-and-play systems capability to easily select and upgrade weapons, communications and sensors as needed. |
