The process to be developed will be capable of being easily scaled up and modularized per LCS and ICD rrequirements, as well as ISO standards, to enable easy containerization and interfacing with onboard ship systems. Benefits: An inexpensive and energy-efficient seawater desalination process has enormous applications for marine uses, as well as for creating new freshwater resources for use by water-deficient coastal areas in the world.
