Abstract: |
nGimat proposes to develop a miniaturized, tunable bandpass filter using thin film ferroelectric technology. The filter design will take advantage of the tunable characteristics of ferroelectric materials by the application of a DC voltage. In Phase I, nGimat will design and fabricate the circuit, optimize materials, perform modeling and simulation, and build prototype tunable filters. In Phase II, we will further optimize the circuit design, address reliability and packaging issues, and deliver functional filters to the Navy and our collaborators that will use the component in their systems. |
Benefits: |
Tunable microwave filters find in a wide variety of applications in communications, radars, and wireless systems. |
