Abstract: |
Agile is a leader in thin film BST technology for uses in microwave circuits including tunable filters, tunable antennas and phased array antennas. Agile will apply unique and recently discovered properties in BST films to design and produce high performance filters for X band and higher frequencies. These filters will be high performance, very small and use currently developed manufacturing techniques. The technical approach, specific technology and design techniques applied are proprietary. |
Benefits: |
Low cost, high performance tunable filters from the cellular band to frequencies in excess of 20 GHz. There are significant opportunities for such devices in a number of current and planned systems in the commercial market including DBS antennas, 4G OFDM cellular systems, WiMAX and other bandwidth intensive systems. These systems place significant demand on RF front devices such as filters and much of the currently available technology is not capable of meeting the requirements. Agile's proprietary new filters are an enabling technology that will significantly enhance the RF performance of current and future systems. |
