Aret� proposes to create the software application PERICLES (PERIscope CLassification of Ships) capable of automatically recognizing and classifying marine targets viewed in submarine imaging systems. |

Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) will offer several advantages to submarine effectiveness and safety. It will also provide the basis for technology insertion in the Joint Multi Mission Electro-Optical System (JMMES) for VTUAV and the Ship Self Defense EO/IR System for DDG-1000. |
