It will rapidly establish and verify the identity information of unknown individuals encountered in the conduct of operations and improve force capacity to update, manage and share trusted information on such individuals. Collected biometric data will meet the standards for the Department of Defense as well as U.S. law enforcement agencies. Our 15 years of biometric experience supports the assertion that a substantial market exists for the PMDB device in other Federal, State and Local Markets, both as a standalone product and as a licensed software product. Aware has a long history of providing licensed software products to system integrators and hardware manufacturers in the biometrics field. The product produced under this SBIR is an extension of existing Aware systems that will take advantage of the quantum advances in biometric hardware and software and the revolution in ruggedized computers.
