| Abstract: |
Progeny Systems has teamed with Tactical Systems Engineering (TSE) to propose an innovative approach for migrating and architecting the existing submarine UAS command and control systems to a more affordable, agile , flexible baseline that can easily adapt and integrate multiple unmanned vehicles into the BYG-1 combat control system. This SOA architecture will also facilitate introduction of rapid enhancements to the system to improve operability and commonality while taking full advantage of data available from the vehicles, in order to improve submarine relevancy for improved support roles in coordinated joint missions. |
| Benefits: |
Progeny believes there is a huge current and future need for the technologies proposed for investigation by this SBIR topic. A number of military, tactical and non-tactical systems could certainly employ aspects of this technology solution set resulting in system flexibility, agility for supporting communications by users employing different protocols or middleware; this will most certainly reduce program update and maintenance costs as systems grow and extend the reach of other systems with which they want to communicate. |
