Abstract: Develop a low-cost high cycle fatigue experimental and analytical capability to evaluate complex gas turbine engine rotor and airfoil systems for the purpose of component and design tool validation.
Benefits: Develop (1) an advanced excitation and measurement system for spin testing bladed disks; (2) improved analytical capability to evaluate test data; (3) prepare measurement system transition to development rigs or engines as part of an advanced instrumentation package for developing engines and/or as part of an integrated health management system for fielded systems; (4) work with OEMs to identify potential rig-engine demonstration opportunities.
