Abstract: RTI proposes the development of a unified, open, modular, comprehensive recording platform capable of recording quantitative and qualitative data in a distributed system. The platform will support operational data recording in a distributed system, providing tools for real-time data analysis, transformation, storage and reconstruction/replay all within the same open unified platform.
Benefits: This work will provide the Navy with the tools necessary to record quantitative and qualitative data of the different LCS subsystems using a single product. In addition, the proposed platform will allow real-time processing of the information, on-site data mining and replay, as well as off-line analysis data mining and reconstruction. While this work focuses primarily on the needs of LCS and Navy systems, the proposed approach and technologies are of general applicability to other real-time distributed systems. RTI will leverage this work into its general product suite and provide it to other (dual-use) application domains.
