Navy SBIR Transition Program (STP)

Now in its 25th year, the Navy STP (Navy SBIR Transition Program) has been a long-standing vehicle for connecting SBIR/STTR-funded technologies with warfighters, government acquisition and technical personnel, prime contractors, system integrators, and other potential partners and collaborators.

To be eligible for the program, you must have an active Navy Phase II in March and have not taken Phase II Technical and Business Assistance (TABA); it costs the small business nothing to participate as the program is funded by the Department of the Navy SBIR/STTR Programs office.

The program takes a holistic approach to assisting selected small businesses in transitioning their technologies through:
  • Collaboration: Support in refining messaging and building targeted marketing materials
  • Education: Webinars and guides on government acquisition environment and policies
  • Research: In-depth market research reports for each technology
  • Mentoring: One-on-one coaching from experienced business consultants
  • Connections: Facilitation of partnerships between small businesses and Navy stakeholders and industry
  • Promotion: Virtual Transition Marketplace and showcase events
Visit navystp.com for complete program details, upcoming Showcases, and resources offered through STP including the Virtual Transition Marketplace (VTM) and Transitions Newsletter.
